Old trees are cut down in the center of Tashkent.... I am shocked.
Planetrees, planted at the end of the 19th century, were cut down in the public garden named after Amir Temur in Tashkent last week...
On 21st November young activists conducted a protest against the vandalism actions held in Uzbekistan capital. They laid flowers and put out candles by the public garden fence.
Probably new trees will be planted on the square, but hopefully they won’t be cut down by our grandchildren just in order to make a good view to a building.
